God has prepared all good things for us ahead of time. And they are freely given; we can’t earn them. We cannot receive from God apart from His Spirit. Through the Word spoken, taught, heard and believed, the Holy Spirit gives us discernment. Our ability to receive depends on our level of discerning and seeing the things He has promised. The Word is the warehouse of all the things God has provided for your life. Everything He does is housed in His Word. This is why it is key to sit under anointed teaching, to read the Word, and to develop the spirit man by praying in tongues.

The Lord’s Supper is a time to reflect on Jesus’ death and resurrection, discerning that His body was broken for me and risen in glorified form. Discerning His body also means understanding my role in the local body. Am I walking in love or do I have aught against anyone? Am I serving faithfully? Am I a supply in prayer and finances? Finally, it means discerning the condition of my physical body. Is anything broken? Do I glorify God with it? If I fall short in any of these, I repent and then I know it is behind me.

Life and death is in the power of the tongue. That means we can choose how our lives go. Our health, finances, relationships, everything is shaped by the words we speak. Our words can judge (or save) us or they can acquit (or condemn) us. If you’re experiencing things you don’t want in your life, check your words! Are you rehearsing past failures, difficult situations, or financial woes? If so, stop! Old things have passed away. Instead speak God’s Word over every area of your life. Let’s control the rudder—our tongue—that steers the ship of our lives (James 3)!

Christians can experience suffering if they lack knowledge of God’s will, aren’t being led by Him, or disobey the Word. These are preventable reasons. Christians can also suffer for doing the right thing and obeying Him. It may be persecution or a period of hardship or trials while you’re doing His will. This suffering strengthens our character and deepens our trust in God. While we don’t have to suffer those things that Jesus suffered for us, like sickness and disease, we can suffer for a time while doing His will. But the end result of this is growth and fruit.

Fellowship with God is the foundation of the Christian’s life. We must desire His fellowship, keeping it fervent. Many don’t take time to hear from God. If you continuously put other things before fellowship with God or override the Holy Spirit’s promptings, you’ll sear your conscience and stop hearing His voice. We must obey Him in the little daily things if we want to hear Him about the big things. God doesn’t want us to miss opportunities and He wants us to avoid disaster. Focusing daily on being led by the Holy Spirit will keep us ahead of the enemy.

Is God first in your life? Or have you left your first love, as the Lord admonished the church at Ephesus? We’ll be judged not only by what we’ve done for His Kingdom but also on whether our lives daily glorify God. That can only happen when we put God first. Then His strength and truth back us up in everything. If we’re not spiritually full through fellowship, we can’t trust our own thoughts. We need His wisdom, which comes through the Word and personal fellowship. Fellowship isn’t a feeling but rather is based on the Word.

God wants you to have your prayers answered; and He receives glory when His children receive. Jesus instructs us to ask. “Ask” doesn’t mean “hope.” It can mean require. God spells out conditions for how to ask. Ask in the name of Jesus. Abide in His Word and let it abide in you abundantly. Ask often—not for the same thing repeatedly but make it a habit of asking, so that you receive abundantly. Ask according to God’s will, not your own. Ask in faith, not wavering; believe you receive because you know He heard you. And if necessary, ask in agreement with another believer.

The spirit of faith contains no fear; God hasn’t give us a spirit of fear but of faith, which is victory. The spirit of fear always speaks and it is not afraid to act. A heart full of faith can’t stay quiet but it must speak and be shared. There is always a step on our part. We should always be believing for something and saying what we are believing for. The spirit of faith is to be spent, not stored up. We receive the spirit of faith through the Word. So let us receive it, speak out, and share the victorious spirit of faith.

Jesus paid the price for us to live in divine health. This is beyond receiving healing from sickness. Divine health means having consistently sound bodies. One condition for living in divine health is being in God’s plan for our lives. Another is that our soul prospers. Our soul prospers when we meditate on and speak God’s report, not man’s report! God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. When we’re about the Father’s business and following His plan for our lives, we position ourselves to live in divine health. Let’s receive His full provision and enjoy long, fruitful lives!

God's Word is a powerful living substance. It's alive. It's powerful. And in the same way that the Word became flesh in John 1:14, when we take that same living Word and put it into our hearts in abundance, it will manifest healing in our flesh (body). It permeates from your spirit into your body. It manifests as health and strength to the degree that we believe. How do we take God's medicine that produces healing for our bodies? By meditating in His Word day and night, and by speaking it with our mouths from a heart full of faith.
