God promises us peace in the midst of even the worst circumstances. Pressures from finances, relationships, the unknown, and other things can trouble us — if we let them. But His peace doesn’t fall on us automatically. We must reach for it by speaking the Word boldly. He gave us the authority to enforce His Word! So, we can do as David did when he defeated Goliath and Jesus did when He answered Satan in the desert.

God longs for us to draw near to Him and abide in Him continually. We can develop intimacy with Him by keeping our attention on Him, meditating on His Word, and getting quiet before Him so we can hear what He wants to say to us personally. Dwelling in His secret place keeps us in His peace, inaccessible to the enemy, and keeps us hot for Him and for the Kingdom.

Do you long for spiritual intimacy with Jesus? Jesus paid the ultimate price for us to have a deep, warm, and private association with Him, even higher than the intimacy in marriage. We find the deep place with Jesus by spending time alone with Him and His Word. It’s where answers are, and where we can bear eternal fruit. Let us reach for spiritual intimacy with Him. It is what He desires!

Scripture contains many prophecies and signs of the end times, including wars and shifts in the economy. We must watch and pray so that we know what God wants us to do in these last days. The Church will see a crescendo! We should not let our hearts be troubled. Understanding the end times impacts how we spend our days, how we talk to people, and how we view world events, especially in Israel.

Under the Old Covenant God made it simple to follow Him: move when I do, rest when I do. It’s also simple under the New Covenant: His presence is in our spirits through His Holy Spirit, so we can follow His leading on the inside. The Holy Spirit only leads us toward what is good. And if we stray, He redirects us back to His plan. Following His presence is listening to His presence within you!

Jesus said, “My peace I leave with you.” We can trust this 100%. His peace doesn’t depend on circumstances. But to enjoy His perfect peace, we must watch over our thought life. Troubling thoughts may come, difficult circumstances may arise, rumors and evil speech may surround us, but if we stay single-minded and focused on His Word, we can enjoy that perfect peace He gave us.

A pastor is a gift from God that every believer needs! If we receive and honor the gift of a pastor as one sent from God, we’ll receive His reward — such as wisdom, direction, and correction. Receiving our pastor’s teaching (if he is speaking the Word) is like receiving from God! And if we gather with the pastor, we are gathering with the Lord. Pastors who speak the truth prepare us for the Lord’s return!

Rev. Joel walks us through key signs given in Scripture. Jesus said we must watch for — and understand — the signs of the end times. Understanding them helps us prepare ourselves for His coming and bring in the harvest. We shouldn’t fear the end-time events, such as wars, economic shifts, pandemics, and scientific experimentation. Instead, understand their meaning, and then, as Jesus said, “Look up, your redemption is near!” (Luke 21:28).

Rev. Joel Baker describes the fruit God is bringing in Montenegro, where Joel and his wife, Nicola, are missionaries. People are receiving Christ, being healed and delivered, and getting on fire for Jesus! We must pray urgently to bring in the harvest. Rev. Joel also explains the meanings of some Hebrew words and Biblical symbolism. The details of the Cross, and events leading up to it, are all prophesied in the Old Testament.

Every believer needs a pastor. Pastors are like parents: they feed us so we grow up, help us recover when we’re sick, and answer our questions. A child can’t grow up by himself; likewise with a believer. We can help our pastors fulfill God’s vision by participating, pulling on their gifts, investing in the local body, and serving in the ministry of helps. And we help our pastors by praying for them!
