As Christians, we may think we’re ready for Heaven. For sure, if we’re born again and have accepted Jesus, we’ll enter Heaven. But are we truly ready to stand before the white throne of judgement described in Revelations 20? To give account of what we did with our lives? At God’s throne, each of us will be judged according to what we’ve done for the Kingdom. How have you lived your life before Him? In this message, learn how to examine your life and make necessary adjustments so you’re ready for Heaven!

Adversity: we all face it! Maybe it’s not our fault, maybe it’s because of something we did. Regardless, we can succeed in adversity. Joseph’s life shows us how. He honored God, refusing to complain. Joseph recognized God’s plan, giving Him the credit for his favor with Pharaoh. Joseph refused any root of bitterness toward those who wronged him. He worked through his situation, his eyes on God. This allowed him to be a tool to save his family and the Egyptians. Let’s not run from adversity, but examine our hearts for attitudes that would hinder us from getting through situations.

Let’s admit it, we’ve all been tempted at times to not walk in unity with others. Maybe it’s petty criticism, or offense creeps in, or we’re irritated because of personality differences. Jesus’ vision was that we walk together in unity, and His vision should be ours. Grace should flow out of our mouths to bless the hearer. If we need to make adjustments, let’s be adaptable. Reject strife and quarrels. Let’s guard how we spend our time and develop our talents from God, and our relationships with people. Then we can be a unified Body that effectively ministers to the sick and wins souls for Jesus!

Jesus said that faith as a mustard seed is sufficient. Even that small amount of faith is potent enough for us to live victoriously and help others. However, we need to increase our faith. We do this by hearing more Word, the incorruptible seed. Then we plant that seed—the Word—in good soil. Good soil has no weeds, like doubt, offense and distractions. If planted in poor soil, seeds of faith won’t produce a harvest. Other steps for increasing our faith are meditating on the Word, doing the Word, and waiting in God’s presence.
